Every year the Probationary Officers are recruited through the Common Recruitment Process (CRP), which is commonly known as SBI PO Exam.

The Selection Process of the SBI PO consists of the following three stages: 

  • Online Preliminary examination
  • Online Mains Examination
  • Interview 

The preliminary and mains examination are written exams. The candidates have to qualify for both the prelims and main exams in order to get selected for the next phase of the exam which is an interview.

 

Online Preliminary Examination:

An adequate number of candidates are selected through the SBI in each category depending upon the requirements.

Online Mains Examination:

An aspirant has to qualify for the sectional as well as an overall cut-off in order to get eligible for the interview phase.

Interview Examination:

The interview is conducted after both of the exams, candidates who qualify in both prelims and mains get selected for the interview process. The interview is conducted in every state/UT by the participated organizations and coordinated through the nodal banks.

Final Result:

The final result is announced on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the SBI PO Mains and Interview round.

Provisional Allotment:

The result of the provisional allotment will be uploaded on the official website of SBI. Those candidates who qualify for the SBI PO Mains and Interview will be given the provisional allotment through the organizing body.

There will be a penalty for the wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each answer, one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at a corrected score.

State Bank of India-PO Interview 2022

  • The candidates who will qualify for both prelims and main written examination will be called for an interview.
  • The interview will be conducted for a total of 100 marks.
  • The minimum score of the interview will not be less than 40 % (35 % in the case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD).
  • The interview will be conducted at the selected centers.
  • The call letters will be released by the State Bank of India through the SBI.
  • The candidates must qualify for the online mains exam and interview to get shortlisted for the provisional allotment process.
  • The details of the provisional allotment process will be available on the authorized website of SBI.

 

State Bank of India-PO Eligibility Criteria 2022

Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria before applying for the recruitment exam. The eligibility criteria are as stated below:

Nationality:

Candidates must fulfill the following points regarding the nationality eligibility criteria. 

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India
  • A resident of Bhutan or Nepal
  • A refugee from Tibet, who has migrated and intends to stay in India permanently.
  • People of Indian origin have migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Myanmar, and East African countries with the intention of settling in India permanently.

State Bank of India-PO Educational Qualification Requirements

For the post of SBI PO 2022, the Academic qualification is as given below:

  • Candidates must have completed a Graduate degree in any of the disciplines at the graduation level from a recognized University by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
  • In case any candidate is called for an interview, the candidate will have to produce a certificate issued by the appropriate authority inter alia stating that the norms of the University regarding conversion of grade into percentage and the percentage of marks scored by the candidate in terms of norms.
  • Candidates who are seeking age relaxation and applying for the posts of PO must carry their certificates and documents certifying relaxation at the time of verification of documents. 
  • Candidates belonging to the OBC category but falling under the non-creamy layer are not entitled to OBC reservations.
  • OBC non-creamy candidates should indicate their category as General in the online application form.
  • For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, certification for caste must be issued and signed by the concerned authority in the prescribed format by the Government of India.
  • Candidates applying from the Ex-Servicemen category who have previously availed the relaxation benefits in civil services before applying to SBI PO, 2022 will be stopped from employment on the civil side.

The registration process for the recruitment of SBI PO will begin tentatively from October 2022.

  • Candidates can register themselves by giving basic details.
  • After the registration step, candidates will be provided a provisional ID and a password.
  • By using the Id and password candidates have to login back to complete the details like, 

 

  • educational qualification, 
  • permanent address, 
  • upload photograph, 
  • upload signature, 
  • upload mark sheet, 
  • upload authentic Id (Aadhar or Voter Id card etc.).
  • A handwritten declaration
  • Left thumb impression

 

  • Candidates are advised to fill in their basic details like name, father’s name, and date of birth, correctly as they will be mentioned in the admit card.
  • Candidates can choose their exam center preference as per their permanent address.
  • After uploading all the documents in the required format, candidates can submit their application form.
  • Finally, they can proceed with the payment.
  • Candidates are advised to take a printout of the application form after final submission and keep it with you for future reference.

The application fees will be submitted from 20.10.2022 to 10.11.2022, and shall be as follows:
