1)Government-authorized SBI to issue en-cash electoral bonds
- The government gave its approval for the 21st tranche of electoral bonds to be issued, and the bonds’ sales. In an effort to increase openness.
- In an effort to increase openness in political fundraising, electoral bonds have been proposed as a substitute for financial contributions to political parties.
2)The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) released the State Food Safety Index (SFSI) 2021-22.
- In the category of the 20 large states, Tamil Nadu with an overall score of 82 out of 100 has performed the best and been ranked 1st on SFSI 2021-22, while Andhra Pradesh with an overall score of 26 has been ranked at the bottom —17th place
- Following Tamil Nadu in the rankings of the larger states are Gujarat (rank 2nd with a score of 77.5), Maharashtra (3rd with 70), Hand Himachal Pradesh (4th with 65.5), and West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh (sharing 5th with a score of 58.5).
3)Kerala CM inaugurates cancer research center in Kochi
- Kerala Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan has inaugurated a cancer diagnostics and research center here, which is slated to be the country’s first oncology laboratory for comprehensive cancer diagnostic services.
- Karkinos Healthcare’s advanced center for cancer diagnostics and research will serve as a central lab for analyzing specimens at molecular and genomic levels.
4)Nirmala Sitharaman, Finance Minister of India inaugurated the National Museum of Customs and GST in Goa.
- Nirmala Sitharaman has inaugurated the National Museum of Customs and GST “Dharohar” in Goa as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Iconic week of the Ministry of Finance, being celebrated from June 6 to 12.

1)12th WTO Ministerial Conference opened in Geneva, Switzerland.
- The 12th World Trade Organization’s (WTO) Ministerial Conference (MC12) opened at WTO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
- During the four-day meeting, members of the trade organization will hold discussions on such issues as the TRIPS (Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights) waiver for COVID-19 vaccines, and the pandemic.
2)Ambassador Rabab Fatima was appointed UN Under-Secretary-General.
- Ambassador Rabab Fatima, Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations has been appointed as Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations.
- Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has announced the appointment of Ambassador Fatima.
3)Ketanji Brown Jackson sworn in, becomes 1st Black woman on US Supreme Court
- The United States made history as Ketanji Brown Jackson was sworn in as the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court

1)RBI increased the individual housing loan limit for cooperative banks.
- Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has decided to increase the existing limits on individual housing loans provided by cooperative banks, taking into account the rise in housing prices since the limits were last revised and considering customers’ needs for larger loans.
- RBI has also permitted the Rural Cooperative Banks (RCB) for financing residential real estate projects, in a bid to support affordable housing and inclusive growth.
2)Fino Payments Bank collaborated with Go Digit for a shop insurance policy.
- Fino Payments Bank Limited has partnered with Go Digit General Insurance Limited, one of India’s fastest-growing general insurers, to provide small and medium business owners with shop insurance coverage.
- Fino Payments Bank serves as a corporate representative for Go Digit. Through the partnership, small and medium businesses are allowed to take advantage of Digit’s My Business Policy in the case of a catastrophe.

1)The BrahMos supersonic cruise missile was first tested from a land-based launcher in Chandipur in July 2001.
- BrahMos is a joint venture between India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Russia’s NPO Mashinostroyeniya.
- The missile derives its name from the Brahmaputra and Moskva rivers.
- Beginning with an anti-ship missile, several variants have since been developed.
- It is now capable of being launched from land, sea, sub-sea, and air against the surface and sea-based targets and has constantly been improved and upgraded.

1)International Albinism Awareness Day 2022 is observed on 04th July.
- International Albinism Awareness Day is observed by the United Nations on July 04th every year. The day represents the importance and celebration of the human rights of people with albinism.
- The United Nations Human Rights Council adopted this resolution and put its firm foot down for the prevention of attacks and discrimination against people with albinism. This day is mandated to remind people of the perils of the past and the path to the future in the case of albinism and the people living with it.
