How to Apply for NEET-UG 2022?
Follow these steps to apply for NEET-UG 2022:-
- Go to the official website of the National Board of Examination.
- Open the current Application sections.
- Register yourself on the Portal
- Credentials will be sent to your EMAIL ID and phone number.
- Login through the given credentials
- You are required to provide the following details

- Once you are done with this upload the documents and then click on the submit button

NEET UG Eligibility
NEET UG eligibility must be known by all the candidates who want to appear for the NEET UG exam. This will be discussed in the upcoming sections below:-
- A candidate must possess a recognized provisional/permanent MBBS degree certificate issued by the medical institute that is recognized by the Medical Council of India(MCI)
- Candidates must have a provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by the MCI or Medical Council.
- The candidate must have completed a one-year compulsory rotatory internship before or on 31st June 2022. Those candidates are only eligible to apply for the NEET UG exam 2022.
- As per the NEET-UG 2022 Eligibility criteria applicants having an MBBS Degree from the state of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu, and Kashmir will not get seats under the All India Quota.
NEET UG Age Criteria
The authorities have not specified any lower or upper age limit. The candidate must hold an MBBS degree along with the compulsory internship certificate to become eligible for the examination.
NEET UG Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Medical Graduate
The exam also allows foreign graduates as well as overseas citizens to apply for this exam. The eligibility has been notified by the National Board of Examinations. These are as follows:-
- The candidates must have pursued their Primary Medical Qualifications from medical colleges outside India.
- The foreign medical graduate applicants also have to clear the Foreign Medical Graduate Exam which is conducted by the National Board of Examination and is a screening test for the NEET UG exam 2022.
- The candidates must be registered under the Medical Council of India.
- The overseas, as well as the foreign candidates, must also have the required internship as prescribed by the National Board of Examination.
NEET UG Reservation Criteria
The admitting board or the exam board has an All India Quota which is 50% of the total seats. The rest of the seats are filled under the Reservation category as specified by the government.

The syllabus of NEET-UG is divided into 3 sections. Further, these three sections are also divided into further parts which will be discussed below. The three sections that are divided are:-Pre Clinical, Para Clinical, and Clinical Sciences.

NEET UG Exam Pattern
- As per the NEET-UG 2022, there will be 200 objective questions in the test
- The duration of the exam is 3 hours and 30 minutes
- The test will be conducted in an online mode or computer-based mode
- The NEET-UG exam will be conducted in the English language
- Candidates must know that as per NEET UG exam pattern 2022 there will be negative marking in the examination.
- The candidates will be awarded 4 marks for the correct answers.
- For every wrong answer, there will be a deduction of one mark.

NEET UG Selection Process
- Candidates have to appear for the exam and then based on that exam marks are allotted to each candidate.
- Through these marks, a merit list is prepared. This merit list contains the name of the candidates who are eligible to take admission to different colleges as notified by the board.
- The candidates who are selected in the merit list have to be part of the counseling process through which college is allotted based on marks obtained by the candidate. You can attempt mock test series through the website of Eduriefy.
The counseling procedure is given below step-wise. You are required to follow these steps to take part in the counseling process.
Step 1
- Visit the official website
- Click on the “New Registration” link
- Register yourself for the counseling.
- Candidates should save the password that they have created at the time of registration.
- Pay the counseling fee, i.e. Rs. 1000 (For AQI /Central University UR candidates) & Rs. 500 (For SC/ST/OBC/PH) and Rs. 5000 (For Deemed University candidates).
- Candidates will also have to pay the tuition fee which is refunded if no seat will be allotted to the candidates. The tuition fees are:
- For AQI/Central University UR candidates: Rs. 25000.
- For SC/ST/OBC/PH: Rs. 10,000.
- For Deemed: Rs 2,00,000.
Step 2:- Seat filing and seat locking
- After online registration (registration is compulsory to take part in the online allotment process), candidates will have to fill in their choice of subjects and Institutions/colleges in order of preference.
- During the choice locking period, it is necessary to lock the choices to get a print of your submitted choices
- If the candidate does not choose or save the choice submitted by them, submitted choices by them will be automatically locked.
- Take a print of the filled choices for future use
Step 3:- Seat Allotment
- After choice filling, the seat allotment process takes place.
- The seat is allotted to the candidates based on filled choices, availability of seats, category, etc.
Step 4:- Reporting to the college
Once you are allotted the college you need to report to the college along with some necessary documents.

Once the seat allotment takes place the candidates are required to take the admission within the given time frame. If you don’t take admission then your seat automatically gets canceled. For admission purposes, the candidates must possess the following document while reporting to the college:-
