That famous meme of two women pointing at the cat, remember? Doesn’t it seem like it’s your conscience pointing at you to get to studying for the exams but there you are scrolling through the same reels and memes? Well, as a fellow student myself I can understand the need to have complete concentration on your studies without worrying about the exams being canceled or postponed again at the last minute.

Things are pretty serious anyway, aren’t they? So let us take a deep breath and find out whether only the cats and doggo reels are all that can help us calm down or can we take part in some other activities to help relax in such trying times.

  • Netflix And Chill– this is something we all indulge in irrespective of what situation we are in. During exams, with pending revisions, we all have taken part in stressfully watching Netflix. Anime, K-Dramas, sci-fi series, or whatever helps float your boat, one can definitely rejuvenate themselves with one episode a day during their exams. We trust that one will not exhaust an entire series in a day, but rather take small bites of the series and also continue with their studies. Yes, parents can go screaming at us for being on our phones all the time, but only we can understand and relate why it is so necessary to keep mindlessly scrolling through memes and videos. Netflix has come up with some really interesting and feel-good series and movies. A studio Ghibli movie can sometimes work wonders in making us feel motivated to study. So sometimes, as students, it is even recommended to indulge in the Netflix and chill prescription from time to time.

  • Walk And Some More Walk- I know that during exams all the pending sleep since maybe from last year also pour in and makes one very lethargic. In such situations just like one keeps fighting their sleep to study some more, one can even try going on walks. Walking helps one clear their mind, get some light exercise done, and feel refreshed. The place of choice to walk can depend on individuals. Simply plugging in your earphones, your favourite band or song blaring in your ears and those few minutes of walking around can give you more strength to get back to your studies. There are many health-conscious individuals too. A walk can be the perfect solution for cramming in time for light exercise while also enjoying and feeling refreshed in some open air.

  • When Chai Met Toast- well, not exactly referring to the Indie band, but they too have soul-cleansing songs that can work as ASMR too. A cuppa of tea, your favourite snack, well, these are the breaks we look forward to during our exam days. With winters fast approaching, how about a cup of hot chocolate? Binge-watching and binge eating may sometimes take a negative toll on our health, but rewarding snacks can always boost our spirits to complete the revision. Late-night ice-creams while tackling maths and science problems can either miraculously help find the answers to the questions, or simply solve our anxiety and act as a balm over our stress. With too many things to study and memorize, a good strong cup of coffee or tea along with some light food can make us gain strength to tackle some more maths or science problems, or even recall the important dates from our history books.

  • Gmeet, But Make It For sharing notes- we know that now your best teacher, your friend who feeds you everything right before entering the exam hall, cannot be that feasible pertaining to the social distancing rule. But thank god for such technology. Host Google Meets with your friends and get discussing, or ranting about ‘ab jo hoga kal paper ke time dekh lenge’. These last-minute discussions with friends should remain a part of every student’s life’s legacy, irrespective of Corona or no Corona. When you go to your center on the day of the exam, guards may keep hustling around you to not form a group and simply go and take your seats in your respective classrooms. So it is better to compensate for that with some Gmeet sessions with your friends.
