- President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. was sworn in as the 17th President of the Philippines on May 9 after winning the election with 31.6 million votes.
- He took the oath in front of Supreme Court Justice Alexander Gesmundo at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Manila. On June 19, Sara Duterte Carpio, the former President’s daughter and campaign mate, took the oath of office.
2)Attorney General KK Venugopal Has Been Reappointed For Three Months.
- K.K. Venugopal, the country’s attorney general (A-G), has been reappointed for another three months in that position.
- Following a plea from the administration, Mr Venugopal, whose current one-year term expires on June 30, consented to a brief term.
3) Around 122 Unicorn cities will be there in India in the upcoming 2 to 3 years.
- India is expected to have 122 new unicorns in the next 2-4 years, per the Hurun Research Institute’s report, Hurun India Future Unicorn Index 2022.
- These potential unicorns are currently valued at 49 billion US dollars overall. A startup is referred to as a unicorn when its valuation reaches $1 billion USD.
