The Indian Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has declared the IBPS Clerk Prelims result on the 13th of January, 2021. The link to the result is posted on the IBPS official website, which is www.ibps.in.
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, IBPS, conducts the IBPS Clerk Exam in order to recruit eligible candidates for the nationalised banks in India for the post of Clerk. The selected candidates day-to-day work comprises participating in the daily activities of the bank, and also addressing the queries of the customers.
The IBPS Clerk exam is held in two phases-
- Preliminary Exam
- Mains Exam
Both the Prelims and Mains exam are conducted online.
The IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam was held on 12th, 18th and 19th of December, 2021, in order to shortlist the candidates for the Mains exam. The selection process requires candidates to score a minimum mark in the Prelims based on which the candidates are further selected for the Mains exam.
Now with the Prelims result out, shortlisted candidates need to gear up for the Mains, which is to be held on the 25th of January, 2022.
Before appearing for the Mains exam, here is a quick recap of the syllabus for the IBPS Clerk Mains exam-
- General/ Financial Awareness- 50 questions, 50 marks, 35 minutes
- General English– 40 questions, 40 marks, 35 minutes
- Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude- 50 questions, 60 marks, 45 minutes
- Quantitative Aptitude– 50 questions, 50 marks, 45 minutes
In total, the IBPS Clerk Mains Exam is of 200 marks and candidates have 160 minutes to complete the paper.
