  • The National Cyber Forensic Laboratory (NCFL) was inaugurated by the Home Minister Amit Shah on the premises of the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Hyderabad.
  • The aim behind the launch of the NCFL is to expediate the resolution of cybercrime cases in the country.
  • The approval for the establishment of the NCFL for evidentiary purposes in the CFSL, Hyderabad, was made by the Ministry of Home Affairs in December 2021.

2. NITI Aayog launches National Data and Analytics Platform-

  • NITI Aayog launches the National Data and Analytics Platform (NDAP) for free public use.
  • The aim behind the launch is to democratize access to public government data by making data accessible, interoperable, interactive, and available on a user-friendly platform.
  • The platform will have basic datasets from a variety of government departments, arrange them, and provide analytics and visual capabilities.
  • In August 2021, the platform’s beta version was released which gave access to a small number of users to test and provide feedback.
