1. For the redressal of public complaints, Bhagwant Mann, CM of Punjab, launches the ‘Lok Milni’ scheme-
- After hearing the grievances of the people of the state, Punjab’s Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann launched the ‘Lok Milni’ scheme, the first-of-its-kind public interactive programme.
- The aim behind the launch of the scheme is to provide a single-window platform to the people of the state to amend the complaints that they have.
- The people of Punjab who had submitted various grievances and complaints in the last two months were called to attend the programme.
2. The 7th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of NDB was chaired by Nirmala Sitharaman-
- Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs and India’s Governor for the New Development Bank (NDB) chaired the 7th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of NDB.
- The meeting was held in the virtual mode and the video conference took place in New Delhi.
- The Governors and Alternate Governors of Brazil, China, Russia, South Africa, and also the newly joined members of Bangladesh and UAE were in attendance at the virtual meet.
3. ‘CSpace’, India’s first state-owned OTT platform to be launched by Kerala-
- On November 1st, 2022, the Kerala government is to launch the first-ever state-owned over-the-top (OTT) platform, offering movie lovers a vivid palate of films, short films, and documentaries.
- Kerala will be the first in India to launch such a platform.
- Saji Cheriyan, Kerala’s Minister for Cultural Affairs, revealed the name of the platform as CSpace.
4. USD 350 Million Sanctioned by the World Bank for SRESTHA-G Project in Gujarat-
- The Systems Reform Endeavors for Transformed Health Achievement in Gujarat (SRESTHA-G) Project gets approval from the World Bank with a USD 350 Million financial aid.
- The aim behind the project is to transform the key health delivery systems in the state.

- Hong Kong, the special administrative region of China, has appointed John Lee as the new Chief Executive after the dubious Chief Executive Election 2022 held in the country.
- China had overhauled Hong Kong’s electoral system in 2021 and had specified that only patriots, those loyal to the Communist Party of China, can run in the elections.
- John Lee was the sole candidate who stood in the election and has now become the sixth-term Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
