2. Isha outreach and the Gujarat government signed an agreement to conserve soil-
- To join the worldwide ‘Save Soil’ initiative, Gujarat Climate Change Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
- Bhupendra Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat, and Sadhguru, the founder and spiritual leader of Isha outreach signed an MoU in Ahmedabad.
- Shri Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev has taken an initiative to raise awareness about soil conservation by setting out on a 100-day motorcycle tour for the soil regeneration campaign throughout the world.
- Sadhguru was in Gujarat as part of the tour to sign the MoU ‘Save Soil’.
3. Conference of National Education Ministers begins in Gujarat-
- National Education Ministers’ Conference, a two-day event is being held in Gujarat from 1st June 2022.
- Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Education Minister with other Union Ministers and Education Ministers of States and Union Territories will be participating in the conference.
- The conference will focus on the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020.

- On 28th May 2022, former Albania President Bujar Nishani passed away due to serious health problems.
- Bujar Nishani served as the President of Albania from 2012 to 2017.
2. New handgun ownership law introduced in Canada to control gun ownership-
- Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, has introduced new legislation that aims to implement ‘some of the hardest gun control measures’, including a ‘freeze’ on the handgun purchases and sales in the country.
- During a press conference in Ottawa, Trudeau mentioned the succession of mass shootings in Canada and the recent assault in the United States as part of his government’s motivation to propose the C-21 Bill.

1. Booster Systematic Investment Plan launched by ICICI Pru Mutual Fund-
- The ICICI Prudential Booster Systematic Investment Plan (Booster SIP) is a new feature that is launched by the ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund.
- According to the new scheme, a fixed amount is to be invested at pre-defined intervals in the source scheme and a variable amount, at pre-defined intervals depending on the equity valuation index, will be transferred.
