1. Delhi’s Narela industrial area’s plastic factory catches fire-
- On Monday evening a fire broke out in a plastic factory in Delhi’s Narela industrial area.
- 15 firefighters were rushed to the spot, the fire department said.
- Officials said that all the 10 workers working in the plastic factory when the fire broke out have managed to come out uninjured.
2. SCO-RATS meet, to focus on the situation in Afghanistan, hosted by India-
- The chairmanship of the Council of Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of SCO(RATS SCO) was assumed by India on October 28 for a period of one year.
- On Monday a meeting was held in New Delhi comprising the counter-terrorism experts from India, Pakistan, and other member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to discuss how to boost cooperation in combating various regional security challenges.
- One of the major topics of discussion in the meeting was to be on the situation in Afghanistan, on how to deal with the threat from the terrorist groups active in the Taliban-ruled country.
3. Only fit pilgrims to embark on Char Dham Yatra, says Uttarakhand CM-
- Uttarakhand’s CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has said ” Pilgrims who are not perfectly fit should not set out on the pilgrimage without a doctor’s permission.”
- Since the start of the yatra on May 3rd, 2022, 41 pilgrims have died en route to the Char Dham shrines.
4. New Chief Office of REC Ltd.: Vivek Kumar Dewangen-
- A Manipur cadre batch of 1993 IAS officer, Vivek Kumar Dewangen has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of REC Ltd., Ministry of Power.
- Nidhi Chibber has been appointed as the chairperson of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

- Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, is appointed as the President of UAE by the Supreme Council of Union.
- The Council meeting was held in the Mushrif Palace in Abu Dhabi.
- Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai led the Council meeting.
2. Anna Qabale Duba, a Kenyan Nurse, crowned as the World’s Best Nurse-
- Stationed at the Marsabit County Referral Hospital, Anna Qabale Duba, a Kenyan Nurse, won the inaugural Aster Guardian Global Nursing Award.
- Anna was bestowed with such a prestige for endorsing education and practicing against outdated cultural norms like Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) that are a part of her community.

1. Rs. 59 lakh penalty imposed on KEB Hana Bank by the RBI-
- The Korean Bank, KEB Hana Bank, has been imposed a penalty of Rs. 59 lakh by the RBI for non-compliance with certain norms related to interest rates on deposits.
- On the basis of the “Reserve Bank of India (Interest Rates on Deposits) Direction, 2016”, the Korean bank has been penalized for non-compliance.

1. To capture the effects of space weather events on Earth’s atmosphere, ISRO plans a Twin Aeronomy Mission-
- The mission launched by ISRO is aimed to capture the latitudinal and longitudinal effects of space weather events on Earth’s upper atmosphere.
- The National meeting on Aeronomy research was organized by ISRO on May 10, 2022, to discuss the importance and prospect of space-based in-situ observation of the Earth’s upper atmosphere to study the space-weather effects.
