1. Wheat Procurement Season Extended till 31st May by the Center-

  • On Sunday, May 15th, 2022, the Union Government has asked the wheat-producing states and Union Territories to continue procurement till 31st May.
  • The move was made by the Modi sarkar to ensure that no wheat farmer faces any inconvenience and the government is committed to ensuring farm prosperity.

2. ‘e-Adhigam’ scheme launched by the Haryana government to distribute computer tablets to students-

  • Nearly 3 lakh students will be receiving computer tablets under the recently launched ‘e-Adhigam’ scheme by the Haryana government.
  • The scheme is launched by the Haryana state government to help students have a convenient online education experience.
  • Manohar Lal Khattar, the Chief Minister of Haryana, inaugurated the Advance Digital Haryana Initiative of Government with Adaptive Modules (Adhigam) scheme at Maharishi Dayanand University in Rohtak, Haryana.
  • The scheme also states that the Class 10 Board qualifiers who are promoted to the next class will get the computer tablets.

1. UN Human Rights Council has approved the Czech Republic to replace Russia-

  • The United Nations General Assembly has unanimously agreed on the Czech Republic to replace Russia on the human rights council following Russia’s violation and suspension due to Russia’s attack on Ukraine.
  • The Czech Republic is the eligible successor to replace Russia for the replacement for the country needs to come from an East European country for the seats on the Geneva-Based council are divided among regional groups.

2. World’s longest glass-bottomed bridge opened in Vietnam-

  • Vietnam’s Bach Long pedestrian bridge, the name of the newly opened glass-bottomed bridge, is 632m long and located 150m above a huge jungle.
